Not another strategy on a shelf: Arxia starts the digital transformation strategy for Botswana's BIDPA
By Carlos Parker · Head of International Business

Around 85% of strategies end the same way: as a declaration of good intentions, gathering dust once delivered. At the inception meeting on 6 July, Arxia made a promise to the staff of the Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis (BIDPA): this one would be different.
People and processes before tools
Arxia CEO Daniel Homorodean, working with change-management specialist Gaogaufi Steady Mako, took a clear position. The digital transformation strategy of a national research institute must be centred on the evolution of the organisation's mission, on adopting the most recent trends and practices, and on helping those practices spread across government institutions.
Digital transformation is not built around software tools. It is built on efficient processes and on motivated, empowered people.

Measures from day one
Arxia is not waiting for a final report. Measures are being put in place from the first day of the engagement, keeping the momentum that already drives the BIDPA team to embrace change.

An institute built to transform a country
BIDPA's mission is to support the transformation of an entire country through policy research and analysis. Arxia's role is to help it move faster along that path.
