Arxia at the Govtech 4 Impact World Congress in Madrid: DPI, AI in government and interoperability
By Carlos Parker · Head of International Business

From 5 to 7 May, Madrid hosted the Govtech 4 Impact World Congress (G4I 2026), one of the year's main meeting points for people building technology for the public sector. Arxia was there with three conversations in mind.
Three conversations
Arxia's Carlos Parker went to Madrid to meet everyone working on:
- Digital Public Infrastructure
- AI in government
- Interoperability
These three topics define Arxia's work with governments, and G4I brought together the people tackling them from both the public and private sides.

Governance and digital sovereignty at the TYPO3 booth
Arxia also took part through the TYPO3 Association's Community Expansion Committee, which Arxia CEO Daniel Homorodean leads. Committee members from Canada, France, Germany, Norway, Romania and Spain staffed the booth. As the booth represented a non-profit association, the goal was not sales but a shared understanding of challenges and solutions — the foundation for sustainable adoption of community-based open source.
Governance and digital sovereignty were high on everyone's agenda. Representatives from the public and private sector from 20 countries across four continents stopped by, from Argentina, Cambodia and Papua New Guinea to Iceland, Uruguay and the United States. After three days, the committee had a record number of conversations to follow up.
