Consistency, investment and partnership: Arxia and the TYPO3 Association at JUNETECH 2026 in Burundi
By Carlos Parker · Head of International Business

How do you create impact and open business opportunities in a new country or a new market? The recipe is simple, if not easy: consistency, investment and partnership.
A festival of innovation in Bujumbura
From 23 to 26 June, Arxia and the TYPO3 Association took part as international partners in JUNETECH 2026, a festival of innovation and digital transformation in Burundi. The event is led by Chris Clement Igiraneza and the KIT Digital Innovation HUB.

Three years of a consistent message
For more than three years, Arxia, the TYPO3 Association and KIT have promoted the same message in Burundi: when adopted strategically, open source and standardisation create opportunities for local youth, local innovative companies and the government. That message is now being heard, and acted on.
At JUNETECH, Arxia and TYPO3 presented the tangible results of this work, together with KIT and local institutional partners, and the plan for what comes next.
In it for the long game
Projects and business don't appear overnight, or for free. Arxia and the TYPO3 Association are committed for the long term. They are ready to partner with each country on its transformation journey, anchored in principles and focused on lasting value.
